Is violence acceptable? “Non-Agreements” pt. 2

Violence, riots, and mobs will never get any one what they want. Violence begets violence, but peace begets peace; we should be slow to anger and quick to listen to one another. We must look for logical and peaceful solutions. It is important for us to critically think and understand the variety of perspectives that involve all the colonists, and even some of the British (although I am sure many of us would rather not think of them). Granted, these acts passed by the Committees may not have everyone’s best interests at heart, but that was never the intent; everyone in the Committees did their best. But, that is not to say that nothing can be done about it. This is where you farmers and anyone else negatively impacted by these agreements or any other acts or laws come in.

Say something. If needed, be loud about it. Yell it to the rooftops, say it louder for the people in the back if necessary. Just do not be violent or have harmful intent. Tell us what is going on and offer up different solutions. Be a productive member of society. Eventually, through determination and persistance, we can all keep our health, lives, and still get what we want. Thank you for listening.
